The snom OCS Edition (snom Open Communication Solution Edition) combines the advantages of the open IP telephony standard SIP with the integration into Microsoft's Office Communication Server 2007  and the complete Unified Communications solution.

snom phones are the first open-standard SIP phones with native Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 integration.  They allow you to:
- have incoming calls announced simultaneously on your desktop AND your snom phone;
- search for names or phone numbers on the Microsoft® Office Communication Server via snom ActiveDirectory Search (snom LDAP);
- see the current status of your contacts (free, not logged on, busy);
- place secure calls both from your computer via Microsoft OCS OR from your snom phone.

A special snom firmware release makes it possible to integrate snom phones of the 3xx series with the well-known Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 R2. This means that every user of the snom 3xx can use the comfortable features of the Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 R2.
