ZyXEL GS-1548 48-port Gigabit Web-Managed Switch

The Switch 1500 Series with advanced Web-based management support is specially designed for SME networks where large bandwidth, advanced QoS and security features are required. Through the Web GUI interface, users can implement rich network management with ease.

The ZyXEL Switch 1500 Series comes in two groups: GS-1500 and ES-1500. The GS-1500 group of Web-managed switches comes with 20/44 Gigabit copper ports and 4 dual-personality (RJ-45/SFP) ports, while the ES-1500 group Web-managed switches comes with 24/48 10/100 copper ports, 2 1000Base-T ports and 2 GbE open SFP slots.

Robust system design for SME network
The ZyXEL GS-1500 Web-managed switch provides 48/96 Gbps of non-blocking connectivity and the ES-1500 Web-managed switch provides 12.8/17.6 Gbps of non-blocking connectivity for SME networks. With the flexible multi-function design, GS-1500 and ES-1500 switches fit any network with very little effort. By utilizing Gigbit uplinks and port aggregation, bandwidth on critical paths can be expanded flexibly by merging multiple traffic pipelines into a logical one to dramatically improve network stability.

Evolutionary new managed power
While many legacy Web-based Smart switches improve manageability, configuration complexity is still an issue. For most SB/Enterprises, inadequate IT expertise and complicated configuration are major concerns to overcome. Powered by the next-generation hardware platform with a content-aware engine, the ZyXEL 1500 Series delivers stress-free networking. In addition, the streamlined and intuitive Web-GUI makes the 1500 Series even easier to configure with much less efforts.

Auto DoS attack prevention
Security is becoming increasingly important in SB/Enterprise networks. Equipped with Auto DoS Attack Prevention, the ZyXEL 1500 Series is capable of protecting against ubiquitous DoS attacks. A few mouse clicks are all it takes to initiate the protection, complete the once-complicated ACL setting and reduce operating efforts dramatically. The 1500 Series supports 802.1Q VLAN for traffic isolation and Static MAC forwarding as well as dynamic ARP to establish a strictly protected network.

Auto voip optimization
Migration to VoIP is the key to differentiate business competitiveness. It usually requires IT expertise to optimize a network for VoIP applications. With emergence of the "Auto VoIP" feature, the 1500 Series can identify VoIP packet patterns and grant the highest priority to automatically establish a VoIP-friendly communication. The "Auto VoIP" feature offers IP telephony without configuration headaches; features such as four priority queues and the WRR (Weighted Round Robin) scheduling algorithm are usually deployed on enterprise networks, allowing users to optimize network bandwidth usage and implement QoS (quality of service). In terms of bandwidth management and switch interconnections, users can choose from several options and pick the most appropriate one with just a mouse click.
